We work with schools to strengthen classroom practices that drive learning, with a focus on formative assessment and high-quality feedback that students can really use. We also help teachers and leaders understand how AI can support these practices safely in school settings to strengthen not replace the teacher's role.
High-quality feedback strengthens learning, especially when students can receive it, and apply it, during the lesson. It is one of the most effective levers for improving student learning. When feedback is clear, timely, and linked to success criteria, students are more likely to revise, persist, and improve the quality of their work.
Our sessions help schools build shared feedback routines that are consistent and workable. We also explore how AI can support these routines in school settings, with teacher judgement staying central.
LARA is grounded in formative assessment and feedback research. In training, we teach practical ways to design success criteria, structure feedback so students can use it, and run an in-lesson cycle where students strengthen their first draft written responses. If a school is considering LARA, we map these practices to how the tool supports the routine.
